What is this file?

This is the official Kisab Android application, signed with the production release key. It is delivered as an APK because Kisab is not on the Play Store yet. GitHub Releases is the source of truth for the signed file; you can verify the SHA-256 checksum after download.

How to install on Android

  1. Download the APK

    Tap the download button above and wait for the file to finish downloading.

  2. Open the file

    Open the downloaded kisab-v0.2.1-rc-signed.apk file from your Downloads or file manager.

  3. Allow this one install

    Android will ask for permission to install from unknown sources for this app. Allow it only for Kisab downloads, then keep the setting off for everything else. You can also use the options Android offers for a single install.

  4. Install and open

    Complete the install and open Kisab. Create your first farm to start recording.

About Play Protect

Android Play Protect checks apps even when they are not from the Play Store. A warning about an unknown app is normal for a direct APK. Install only the official Kisab APK from this page or from GitHub Releases, and do not permanently disable Play Protect. If you are unsure, verify the SHA-256 checksum of the downloaded file.

Updating to a newer pilot build

Pilot builds with the update channel enabled can check for and install updates inside the app (More → About → Check for updates). You can also install a newer APK over the older one — the signed upgrade preserves your farm data. Make a backup before updating if you have important records.

Back up first Your farm data lives only on your device. Before you install, update, or hand a phone to anyone, export a backup (More → Backup / Restore → Export backup) and keep that file somewhere safe.

Older pilot and stable builds (v0.2.0, v0.1.0) are listed on the release history page. New users should install the latest pilot build.
